If you've had ever
had a pet with a skin or coat problem, you know the
frustration when the prescribed method of treatment does not
work, or ends up doing more harm than healing (we all know about
the dangerous side effects of drugs).
The honest-to-goodness truth is, the most
effective remedies are ones that work with your pet's natural
healing processes, not against them.

Mammal Mama Organic Suckle
Soother is an emollient, moisturizing and softening
salve that promotes healing of sores and abrasions on dry or
chapped areas. Apply salve on the affected area to bring
immediate relief. This non-germicidal product contains mallow
and calendula that are considered food herbs and can be safely
ingested.
Ingredient Descriptions
Marshmallow Root
Grows 1-3 feet tall in moist locations. The alternate, serrated
leaves feel soft when rubbed. Small pale flowers bloom in the
leaf axils. The young leaves can be eaten raw or slightly
cooked; it makes an excellent soup thickener. The roots can be
used as a meringue substitute when covered with water and boiled
until reduced by half, cooled, and beaten to a froth. Mallow
softens skin and soothes skin irritations, boils, stings, and
runny sores. The tea is soothing to mucus membranes, swollen
glands, and irritations of the respiratory, gastrointestinal,
and urinary tract.
Calendula Flower
Annual with orange and yellow flowers and alternate leaves. The
unusual curlicue seedpods easily reseed themselves. This edible
flower is an all purpose skin healing herb used to stop
bleeding, wash wounds, and heal cuts, abscesses, rashes, and
boils. It soothes and heals chapped skin and eczema. Calendula
relieves muscle cramps, painful swellings, hemorrhoids, and
insect bites.
